PRESENT INDEFINITE TENSE
Definition: It is used to describe the actions that take place regularly. Especially to describe habits, daily routine, likes/dislikes, universal truth, and simple statements of fact.
PRESENT INDEFINITE TENSE :
AFFIRMATIVE/POSITIVE –
ਪਹਿਚਾਣ : ਵਾਕ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾ ਹੈ ,ਦੀ ਹੈ ,ਦੇ ਹਨ ,ਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਆਦਿ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। I, We, You, They ਅਤੇ Plural ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਰਬ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਫਾਰਮ(v1)ਅਤੇ He, She, It, Any Name, Singular ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਰਬ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਫਾਰਮ ਨਾਲ (v1 + s ਜਾਂ es) ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

ES ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਰਬ(v1) ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ O, SS, Z, CH, SH, X ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ । (ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ : – goes, kisses, watches, buzzes, fixes, splashes), ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿੰਨਾ ਬਾਕੀ ਵਰਬ(v1) ਨਾਲ “S”ਨਾਲ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।

- They like Punjabi music. (like)
- Water boils at 100° Celsius. (truth)
- She lives in India. (fact)
PRESENT INDEFINITE TENSE : NEGATIVE – ਪਹਿਚਾਣ : ਵਾਕ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ + ਦਾ ਹੈ ,ਦੀ ਹੈ ,ਦੇ ਹਨ ,ਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਆਦਿ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। I, We, You, They ਅਤੇ Plural ਨਾਲ Do Not ਅਤੇ He, She, It, Any Name, Singular ਦੇ ਨਾਲ Does Not, ਵਰਬ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਫਾਰਮ (v1) ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

PRESENT INDEFINITE TENSE : INTERROGATIVE – ਪਹਿਚਾਣ : ਵਾਕ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾ ਹੈ ,ਦੀ ਹੈ ,ਦੇ ਹਨ ,ਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਆਦਿ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਵਿੱਚ I, We, You, They ਅਤੇ Plural ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ Do ਅਤੇ He, She, It, Any Name, Singular ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ Does, ਵਰਬ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਫਾਰਮ (v1) ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
