There is no doubt that computers have transformed our lives for the better. The rapid technological developments and advanced systems have made everything digital from online shopping to communicate around the globe with the click of button. Education has also greatly benefitted from the innovation of computers and laptops as it has made learning for students more accessible and faster. For example, in the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, all schools and universities have conducted online classes so that the student’s studies are not interrupted.one can fulfill projects and assignments from the comfort of their home and can also attend lectures and speeches by teachers from all over the world. Moreover, the internet is the biggest source of knowledge these days as learning is not limited to books anymore.

However, the negative effects of using a computer daily tends to outweigh the benefits. Initially, the computer screen puts strain on one’s eyes and too much screen time can effect on the eyesight and can cause to wear a spectacle. Secondly, social media and video games are the biggest distraction as children might waste most of their time on internet based platforms like, Facebook and Instagram. Personally, I feel that young children must focus on taking up hobbies that align with their interest or passion. Besides this, fitness and sports must be a child’s priority over the computers. Moreover, parents play a crucial role in monitoring their child’s daily routine and should encourage them to dedicate a fixed time period for computer use.

In conclusion, in order to reap the maximum benefits of a computer a child must strike a healthy on the time spent on it as overuse can prove to be harmful mentally as well as physically.A computer is a great device if used for a right reason at right time.
